How to Become a Licensed Security Officer?

In accordance with Arizona state law, individuals may not perform duties as an Security Officer / Professional without a valid license issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS). All applicants must complete an Security Guard Employee Registration Application, undergo a fingerprint-based background check, complete an Arizona Department of Public Safety AZDPS-approved 8-hour basic training course, and obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card. Arizona Gold Security Watch, Inc. may also require all prospective employees to pass a drug screening and a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
